The all-new 2010 Honda Insight hybrid car made its world debut at the 2009 North American International Auto Show. Using the latest generation of Honda's Integrated Motor Assist ™ (IMA ®) hybrid technology and new production methods more profitable, Honda Insight 2010 sets a new milestone in the development of hybrid technology for hybrid customers with new levels of accessibility Fun to drive performance, and a U.S. EPA city / fuel economy rating on Highway 40/43 miles per gallon. Honda Insight 2010 will be launched at the Honda dealers across the United States in early April 2009 and the price will be lower than the Civic Hybrid.

a feedback driver who uses a speedometer innovative display with alternating background colors to provide advice to the driver in real time to achieve fuel efficiency and
a single function of consumption with a graphic rating leaved plants to provide information to the driver driving on the current efficiency and life return to driving fuel efficiency.
All Insights is powered by a peak of 1.3 liter SOHC aluminum-alloy i-VTEC and CVT, with a new generation of Honda's IMA hybrid system for exceptional fuel economy and exciting performance.
Honda Insight IMA system contains a 10-kilowatt (13 hp) electric motor and a compact Intelligent Power Unit (IPU) - recovering and storing kinetic energy from vehicle braking and deceleration and provides extra power for acceleration when needed. Packing of the IMA battery ultra-compact and the IPU in the rear floor of the vehicle for increased utility to a 60/40 split-folding rear seatback.
Insight IMA system is designed to operate solely on electric power in certain driving conditions with low to mid-speed. It also offers cylinder deactivation in the gasoline engine during deceleration and stopping the engine when the vehicle is stopped. With a fuel tank of 10.6 liters, delivers the Honda Insight has an estimated maximum driving range of 400 miles.
Standard safety features for all Insights include two phases, dual-threshold front airbags, front side airbags with passenger-side Occupant Position (OPDS), curtain airbag system and ABS brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), driver and passenger head restraint and body active front panel is designed to mitigate pedestrian injuries. All Honda Insights were also new Advanced Compatibility Engineering ™ (ACE ™) body structure for improved crash compatibility between vehicles of different size and ride height to enhance the protection of residents Honda Insight, while reducing the risk injury to the people by opposing the vehicle in a frontal collision.
Other standard features on all new ideas includes 60/40 split-folding rear seatback, dual digital dashboards, automatic climate control, power windows, mirrors and door locks, tilt wheel and telescopic a 160-watt AM / FM / CD with MP3 audio playback, auxiliary input, and speed-sensitive volume control (SVC).
Honda Insight models EX adds alloy wheels, cruise control, 6-speaker audio system with USB audio interface, steering wheel paddle levers, Honda, Vehicle Stability Assist ™ (VSA ®) and the making available Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System ™ Speech Recognition.
